Wireless settings not saving (broadcom 4312, HP 6720s laptop)

I have an HP Compaq 6720s with the broadcom 4312 wireless that doesn't work from the CD
I used the debian page here and followed the guide and got a connection.

My problem now is that everytime I boot up my wireless isnt detected and I have to go to the command line and type:

$ modprobe wl
$ iwconfig

then my wifi can be selected and a connection made.

IS there some way to get my wireless to come on automatically at boot up?

There is no chance having your wifi-device configured right after bootup as long as you are using a live-system directly from CD.
The live-system cannot store the settings permanently and falls back to default settings at next boot.
The only way to keep changes and settings is installing elive to your Harddisk.

...I'm using Elive for over 2 Years now on my Computers Harddisk and can tell you it really ROCKS!

It is installed. It is the fastest OS I have run on my laptop, It runs super fast even on my old Thinkpad x23 backup/travel laptop.
If I run in live mode I wouldnt have any internet as the broadcom wifi drivers are not installed on the live cd. Only Linux Mint and Ubuntu seem to have these on disc. I have actually reinstalled the OS since I posted, Followed the debian guide and have still the same problem....I guess If I just left my laptop on then it would'nt matter. I can actually login and from the terminal type the necessary modprobe wl and iwconfig, select the wifi from the icon at the bottom before the startup music has finished playing.

I just thought there must be a way to automate this?
