no boot
September 25, 2007 09:24PM
I left my macbook on last night downloading an ISO and powered it down this morning and everything seemed normal... However, when I got to work and tried to boot up, it hangs after it leaves the lilo screen. Is there a recovery utility on the live cd? <I couldn't seem to find one> MacBooks only allow 3 partitions or OSX will not boot. Mine are hda1-OSX hda2-Elive hda3-swap(no home partition :( ) so reformatting is a last resort.
Thanks.

remove the SWAP one, Elive manages automatically the swap one internally on this version for macbooks due to this partitions limitation

If you have a separed /home partition, you can "recover" your Elive installation (maybe this feature works without need of a /home partition in the future)
