BTW These features are already included in the standard debian installer...

IDS with some nice GUI [www.nic.com] maybe [www.intersectalliance.com]

This would be something new compared to debian installer...

Yes, encryption would be great ... /home partition is a must, rootfs would be better. Especially for laptop users.
