realtime kernel

My wife uses noteworthy composer viewer (with WINE and the Timidity sound server clap ) and I read that playback will improve when using a realtime kernel. I hardly know what this means but I read somewhere that Elive doesn't use such a kernel.

I also noticed that application's responsivety is really slow with enlightenment. With other linux distros, it is fine. I think the problem is CK sources of Elive. Who has benchmark them against other sources to tell us where and how they perform better?

comme "Elive GEM " ├ętant fervent utilisateur des outils du libre pour la MAO , j'aimerais trouver sur la prochaine version stable un noyau RT.
