A Better Clock
November 14, 2008 06:04PM
The clock gadget really isn't in keeping with the quality of the rest of the desktop - It just doesn't fit in with the rest of it and stands out like a sore thumb :(

I've done some searching on Get-E and various other places and haven't been able to find a digital clock either - The nearest I found meant I'd have to apply a whole theme that I didn't want!

So, could we have a nicer clock, please? - Preferably one that has the option of a 24-hour digital readout ... ( I don't do am/pm)

Thanks emosmile

Hi there,
I found one in the synaptic package selector in Debian called "DCLOCK"

I have it working on my desktop as we speak. It is a good size and is green and digital and does not have AM or PM!

I agree with you.

Hi, realize your posting on DClock is old, but thought I would give it a try. I downloaded this about a year ago and could not find it anywhere afterdown. Looked on all the shelves and all available "gadgets". Thought perhaps it was limitation of Gem. Now I have TOPAZ installed and want a digital clock, so I again, downloaded from Synaptic and AGAIN, I can't find it. Where is it hiding, or better yet, how in the world to you "install" it so it can be used on the desktop? Thanks, John
