Debian 7.x End of life ? New kernel and 64 bits ?

Debian 7 Long Term Support reaching end-of-life
[www.debian.org]

Isn't what Elive is based on ?

Questions :

- Timeline for new kernel / debian version (after 3.0 is out )?
- And when do you think, after 3.0 is out, you'll make Elive available 64 bits ?

Tks !

You dont need a new / different kernel if the one running makes your hardware work correctly, in other words you wont need to change it in 100 years emosmile

Yes, next (beta) versions after 3.0 will be start to be built uppon 64 bits, with UEFI support, and entirely new software and kernel

This is very good news.
I'll be happy to test as betas become available...
