Hello,
I have Elive 1.0 installed on my work laptops, and love it. I decided I wanted to install on my personal laptop but am not able to boot the livecd.
I currently have kUbuntu installed (From a LiveCD) and have had both PCBSD and BackTrack2 installed recently. Now I only have kUbuntu.
The system BIOS is fine (I can boot other LiveCD's such as Auditor / Backtrack / *Ubuntu's)
The disk installs on other laptops (IBM Thinkpads) and MD5 passes
Does anyone have any suggestions on things I can try?
This isn't the first LiveCD that wont boot, Fedora, Debian and Elive have now failed, so it's not limited to Elive.
Any idea's as to why some distro's are failing and others are not?
Here's my dmesg from kUbuntu for my cd:
hdc: QSI CD-RW/DVD-ROM SBW-241, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive
hdc: ATAPI 24X DVD-ROM CD-R/RW drive, 2048kB Cache, UDMA(33)
Uniform CD-ROM driver Revision: 3.20
I would love to convert all my laptops to Elive, so any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
