No devices detected on Gparted
August 20, 2008 03:39PM
Hello there! Like it is said in the subject, when i try to launch the installation, selecting Gparted to configure my partitions, i get this message. Do you know what it could be? My HDD is a SATA. My controllers are well detected.

Thank you for your help.

I may have had this problem too, I just went with the fully automatic mode and let it do the default installation and things went fine. Another thing to try is partition first before you install, then begin the install and then select the "my disk is already partitioned" option.

I did what Wilbur did, because I had already partitioned with Mint, and I had no trouble with installation. My main reason for coming to eLive was because Grub 2 very nearly ate my BIOS (Mint 9). Since the switch, I've had no problem. If you can't get a solution on the Debian boards, you could try partitioning with another distro and then overwriting it.
