Selecting Grub location
November 27, 2008 10:34AM
Hi all,

I recently downloaded the unstable version of Elive and was so impressed that I wanted to install it to a test partition of my second HD.

Since I do not want it to overwrite my main Linux distro's Grub in the MBR, I chose the "Advanced" installation mode.
After selecting the preformatted partition and clicking 'Continue' I was told that data would now be written to my hard drive - without asking me where Grub should be installed.
I immediately hit the 'Cancel' button, tried the process all over again, same result.

Regretfully, I aborted the installation altogether and lay aside the CD.

But I'm still haunted by the idea of playing around with an installed Elive, so I simply would ask for a confirmation:
After selecting the partition, hitting OK on the message about formatting, and receiving the announcement that Elive will start to write to my HD: will I still be given a choice of the Grub install location later on during the process?

TIA
