Terminal Transparency Background
August 20, 2007 06:21AM
I configured my terminal with a transparency value of 100. When I open the terminal, I can faintly see through it to a very blurry background.. But it's a different wallpaper! Is this a bug? Has it already been reported? What should I do?

--Thanks

No ! That's a feature ! wink

Of course is a feature, the 'transparency' for the applications is more blurred, that' makes a better look but specially a really better read of the words (in your terminal for example)
:P

My point was: It's a blurred image of one of the default wallpapers, and not the one that I'm currently using.

I also used a utility that supposedly took a snapshot of my desktop for transparency mode, but that didn't change anything.

Did you use the Background Manager through the Elpanel to capture the transparency image? Possibly after the image is captured, one of the optional effects 'blurred' it??

Just throwing out ideas....

Yes, actually you can do that very easly from elpanel, in the backgrounds manager part (set root transparency window, or something)
