I was just wondering if there were any further releases of elive-compiz planned. I'm hoping my intel wifi 5100AGN will work in that since its not working in the current release and I can't get it to boot any other kernel other than the default 2.6.26.8 and I can not find any solutions that work with elive anywhere and ndiswrapper does not work with this chipset.
This may show how little I know but why are linux drivers even dependent on the kernels in the first place? why can't we just have deb, rpm, tec package files that just install the drivers and the kernel what ever it is simply use it?
