install software after 1.9.54 upgrade?

Upgraded to 1.9.54 using the "Upgrade Elive"shortcut. Wanted to reinstall some missing software, but couldn't find Synaptic. Tried to apt-get install synaptic, but I get a message
Quote

Package synaptic is not available, but is referred to by another package
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or is only available from another source
E: Package synaptic has no installation candidate

When I check /etc/apt/sources.list, the only repos I have are:

deb [us.repository.elive-systems.com] lenny main elive drivers tests efl ports multimedia games

deb [us.debian.elive-systems.com] lenny main contrib non-free

Is this just something to be expected with a development build, or did something get borked with my upgrade? Is there a standard list of Elive repos somewhere?

Sorry, I can't find a way to make the repo lines display properly. . .

It happened to me the same thing. Anyone knows how to solve this?

Hmmm. . . got into terminal as root, ran an apt-get update, and now I can install synaptic. Must have been a repo problem.

OK, let's try this one: why can't I change my entrance theme? Saved the proper file to /usr/share/entrance, went to Settings Panel, Startup to select the theme, but I still get the same old login. If I can't change it, at least how do I kill that annoying music?

Hi,
About the music (I don't know about entrance stuff) you have a module like all other Emodule that you can enable or disable from your config module menu. Or you can just choose your sound/music to launch going through Config panel=> features(not sure about english term)=>Startup-module..

Hope it helps...
