Which Repositories Are Good for 1.9.x?

I observe there are only two repositories in sources.list, which probably explains why I can't find some of the programs I usually run in Linux. What other compatible repositories are there?

Regretfully, I did not find my favorite file manager, EmelFM2. Do you think I'll have to compile it from source?

When I did an 'aptitude update' I got an error for one of the repositories:
W: GPG error: [www.debian-multimedia.org] lenny Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 07DC563D1F41B907

Do I need to get a key, or is the repository available without one?

To the beginning of the debian-multimedia page you have the debian-multimedia-keyring package to download and install. That will add the public key and signature to your apt-sources.Just read carefully the whole page/link. wink

Hi,
One thing quickly:
Be careful with addind repositories to Elive, it's coming with the elive's repositories which are complete mirrors of the official Debian Ones, to add some other sources, just keep in mind that Elive is nunning on Debain Lenny.
About your key problem just to mention it, you can also use these commands to import & accept the key for apt:
gpg --keyserver pgpkeys.mit.edu --recv-key 01234567
To get the key from trusted server, where "01234567" are the last 8 numbers of your error message. (W: GPG error: <repo address> Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY XXXXXXXX01234567)
Then accept the key with:
gpg -a --export 01234567 | sudo apt-key add -

Another less known repo is the google one as I mention it here to install chrome, picasa or google-desktop.

Read you again...
