MySQL

Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone knows how to use MySQL with elive? I have a MySQL database I want to transfer into Linux but I don't know where to put it. In windows you just copy the files into the data folder in the mysql root folder but I don't know how it works on Linux.
I have installed mySQL from synaptic but and the server runs at boot but now just want to know where database fies are stored

thanks

Install MySQL create a test base and find it emosmile
It sould be in /usr/share/mysql but path can be setup in config

Asus EeePC 1000H [Elive 2.0 Topaz]
Toshiba Satellite p10-802 -ATI video, ATI chipset, RealTech audio- [Elive 2.0 Topaz]
I hate ATI... but I love Elive. It work with ATI with no problem.

thanks DronAn

I did as you said and MySQL works perfectly, the default location for the data was in /var/lib/mysql/
I copied the database files I use in windows into that folder and ran the use command and it found the database.

Now just have to setup aquafold datastudio as the client for importing data and test the calls from java and matlab.

thanks again.
