resetting Xine

hi,

Does anyone know how to reset Xine? i don't know what i did or what happened but Xine suddenly has stopped playing mkv files. It plays everything else.

mplayer is no use because it gives a lag between the video and audio.

VLC and banshee don't play video files at all.

Don't know if I installed something I shouldn't have

I think (not with Elive right now) you should have a rc file for xine maybe simply at /home/you/.xinerc or maybe /home/you/.xine/...
Just try to delete that(ese) file(s) and start xine again...
About dependencies, look in apt (trough synaptic for example) for keyword mkv you should find libmkv0 or mkvtoolnix, they should help...
