Hasta ayer venia usando elive topaz en un amd atlhon xp con 1,5gb de ram y un hd ata 133 de 40gb. He actualizado mi maquina, con una placa asrock con bios uefi y controladora sata, sin ninguna controladora ata, con lo que tuve que comprar un disco duro sata y el problema es que al arrancar desde usb para instalar elive en mi nueva maquina, el unico destino para instalar que reconoce es el propio usb, no reconoce ningun disco, con lo que estoy chafadisimo porque despues de usar elive durante los ultimos meses no quiero otro!! me resulta muy util esta distribucion para mis tareas de clase y no quiero cambiar.

¿Alguien sabe como puedo hacer para instalar elive en un disco sata?
En virtualbox si le pongo un disco sata elive lo ve, ¿por que en mi maquina real no?

All earlier fibers developed were bare and lacked any form of cladding, with total internal reflection occurring at a glass-air interface. Abraham Van Heel covered a bare fiber or glass or plastic with a transparent cladding of lower refractive index. This protected the total reflection surface from contamination and greatly reduced cross talk between fibers. By 1960, glass-clad fibers had attenuation of about 1 decibel (dB) per meter, fine for medical imaging, but much too high for communications. By 1973, John MacChesney developed a modified chemical vapor-deposition process for fiber manufacture at Bell Labs. This process spearheaded the commercial manufacture of fiber-optic cable.

I recently took delivery of your Callaway callaway ft-iq driver driver. It turned out a ten degree using a stiff Fubuki shaft. I researched the motive force extensively and was hopeful it will be a great product. I really could donrrrt you have been more disappointed using the club. Other than the very fact it is a gorgeous machine, it is a dud. The shaft is very stiff, the trajectory suprisingly low along with the impact sound is awful. It sounds like hitting a tin can. My trusty TaylorMade Burner is back in my bag and never going anywhere, in the near future. Usually do not waste your dollars with this product.

Besides a few drives, most drives were right down the center along with this club i gained maybe 20 yards too!! Great driver. Mention addressing the ball with a brand new found confidence! I did before guard far from a pull hook but once I create the driver for me personally I took a straight line and swung away. I really like the solid impact also, I switched from the SQ5900, even when the ball strike isn't perfect.

Toshiba Satellite no audio (no replies)

Hello all, I have a Toshiba Satellite A135-S4527 with Realtec audio. I can't seem to get any sound out of the headphone jack. I read through some posts and checked to see that the alsamixer was fine. I also tried changing devices in volume control. I still cannot get any audio.

I read somewhere in some wiki that someone got a lenovo hack to get the audio working. Does anyone know what that is?

Or can anyone suggest something else?

(Solved) Sound Problem with Intel Chipset and Kernel > 2.6.26 (no replies)

Ok, in topic "Installer-module Features: Trial Install" I commented my sound problem initially.
My computer have sound problem with the newer kernel.
The sound problem is that with GStreamer is "accelerated" and with Xine is faltered.
This happens with all distros with a kernel greater than 2.6.26.

And now, I finally found a fix for this!

Running a multi-boot desktop with the following sound hardware:
Multimedia audio controller:
Intel Corporation 82801BA/BAM AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 02)
Subsystem: IBM Netvista A40/A40p
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 0, IRQ 17
I/O ports at f000
I/O ports at f400
Kernel driver in use: Intel ICH
Kernel modules: snd-intel8x0

Booting F9 (kernel-2.6.27.5-41.fc9.i686) shows these (good) messages in
dmesg, and then sound plays back at a correct-sounding speed and pitch:
intel8x0_measure_ac97_clock: measured 50775 usecs
intel8x0: clocking to 41134

Booting newly-installed F10 (kernel-2.6.27.5-117.fc10.i686) shows these
(bad) messages in dmesg, and then sound plays back too fast and too tinny:
intel8x0_measure_ac97_clock: measured 50917 usecs
intel8x0: measured clock 78 rejected
intel8x0: clocking to 48000

The problem has been circumvented in F10 by adding the following statement to
/etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf.dist:
options snd-intel8x0 ac97_clock=41194
(Using 41194 instead of 41134, as per various recommendations in internet.)

I just want to share this, and if it's possible, help to fix it!
