but do you have Esetroot ? check why the system gives you " syntax error " post the line you try to execute

Try to execute the command from a command shell ( from your user, not root ) and just after the login. So you should see if any error occour. Just a question. Did you put the command at the end of the file ? Because you have to put at the end, after what it is already written inside

The only thing I can't reach is gkrellm transparent I installed ecomorph and I run enlightenment-ecomorph; consolles are transparent but gkrellm still not trasparent ( tried many gkrellm themes which claims to be transparent but none still is on my desktop ) here my desktop (great theme verdegal ! )

What about upgrade from a development version to another ? I tried but every program I have has been deleted. I read previous posts and it seems it does recognize, in installing/upgrading mode, just the ~ partition. But I spent hours, days to install and configure programs to react as I want, and I don't want everything is vanished. I read that there is a file where I can put all prog

anyone got vlc working ? mine starts skin but play nothing sometimes it say " .... playlist : nothing to play " sometimes it does not find codec ( I installed all codecs I found with 'apt-cache search', adding to sources.list the debian multimedia too and debian lenny repository ( below the elive ones ))

you can do in terminal # dpkg --get-selections > ~/installed.packages.txt and you have a list ( just a list ) of all packages installed in your system Then in case of restore you just have to do # dpkg --set-selections < ~/installed.packages.txt to select all packages for installing
