Users corner Try to execute the command from a command shell ( from your user, not root )
and just after the login. So you should see if any error occour.
Just a question. Did you put the command at the end of the file ?
Because you have to put at the end, after what it is already written inside

Users corner The only thing I can't reach is gkrellm transparent
I installed ecomorph and I run enlightenment-ecomorph; consolles are transparent
but gkrellm still not trasparent ( tried many gkrellm themes which claims to be transparent
but none still is on my desktop )

What about upgrade from a development version to another ?
I tried but every program I have has been deleted. I read previous posts
and it seems it does recognize, in installing/upgrading mode, just the ~
partition. But I spent hours, days to install and configure programs to
react as I want, and I don't want everything is vanished.

sometimes it does not find codec ( I installed all codecs I found with 'apt-cache search', adding

Installed kernel 2.6.29.4-elive-686 and nvidia-kernel-2.6.29.4-elive-686 and at reboot
at init 5, X does not starts
Had to install nvidia drivers from nvidia.com via consolle and it worked
My card is nvidia GeForce GTS 250
nvidia packages curently installed on my pc are :

Software you can do in terminal
# dpkg --get-selections > ~/installed.packages.txt
and you have a list ( just a list ) of all packages installed in your system
Then in case of restore you just have to do
# dpkg --set-selections < ~/installed.packages.txt
to select all packages for installing
