Hi smirnoff! Don't give up. You will get it to work eventually. I got my BCM43xx to work, by following this: (I'm also a beginner) Howto: 1. Ndiwsrapper came pre installed with my Elive Gem stable version. Just remember to use SU otherwise it will not run. 2. Downloaded the latest driver from the laptop manufacturerer. I just went to the manufacturer's support pages,by Viking - Hardware Howtos
I will try it. Need to reformat my HD first.... Thanks!by Viking - Configurations and Hardware Solutions

Thanks for the quick reply, phoenix! Hmm. Not sure which version. I downloaded it from the official site after making a donation (Sorry, but I'm really a newbie with Elive)by Viking - Configurations and Hardware Solutions
I'm a new Elive user struggling to get my Broadcom Wifi working Several posts here suggest ndiswrapper. But i t seems my installation does not have that? typing "ndiswrapper" in bash does not work. trying apt-get install ndiswrapper : Does not find it trying apt-get install ndiswrapper-utils : says it is the newest version. Any suggestions, please?by Viking - Configurations and Hardware Solutions
Newbie warning I just installed Elive Gem on my notebook. Before installing I had a working Grub Dual Boot to select my XP and gOS (Ubuntu) partitions. I installed Elive on the old Ubuntu partiotion (i hope..). Now the new Elive-Grub starts fine, but there is no option to boot into XP. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.by Viking - Configurations and Hardware Solutions
