Don't know if I follow you, but I think you just need to select a different partition for the install. If you go back through the installer again I know it gives you the option to do that. I have a dual boot so I know you can do it. Just re-read the instructions as you go back through it.by Israel - [OLD] - Live mode
If its Fedora I'm assuming its in a rpm package that Elive won't like. You'll need to convert that to a Debian package like so: Me@elive# alien -d /home/Israel/example.rpm exaple-1_i386.deb generated This will convert it to Debian. Then just run it.by Israel - Configurations and Hardware Solutions
If what voxorb said doesn't work try "dhclient" (without quotes) from the command-line as root.by Israel - Configurations and Hardware Solutions
Sounds like you may need to re-install Elive. Or that you may have gotten a download of the iso that was a bit off. Did you check your checksum?by Israel - Applications
Do a search in Synaptic. If Ardour is not in there I'm sure you can find something.by Israel - Applications
Copy that app to your home folder and right click on it. If its been zipped it should say "Open with Achieve Manager". Or something like that. If it doesn't say that post the file extension and we'll go from there.by Israel - Applications
What interface is your wireless coming in on? Type "ifconfig" in the command-line to find out. I connect to my router without having to do a thing?by Israel - Applications
Have you tried to see if you can add them to your ibar? Or perhaps running it by typing the app name into the command-line? Also on the Desktop you can left-click-->Run Command-->"Type Name of Game or Application"by Israel - Applications
Ok, I figured out how to add icons to the ibar via entangle. My question now is how do add something I just downloaded like Etherape which didn't come with Elive, nor is in entangle's options of icons? Can I add other applications to the ibar?by Israel - [OLD] - Installed Mode
Ahh... This was lame but I figured it out. I was using Moblock and apparently the settings were too high or something. I ran "moblock-control stop" and everything started working.by Israel - [OLD] - Installed Mode
I installed Elive and was very pleased. Got my wireless up and running no problems. Then for some reason the next night the internet quit working. My first instinct was to pump dhclient and see if maybe an interface needed to reloaded. After dhclient ran I saw I was getting an ip address from my router, still no net. I rebooted my router and my modem. Still nothing. Booted into my Xp partitioby Israel - [OLD] - Installed Mode
