We have received a couple of notices from ppl with quite old hardware about failure of the reconfiguration script. It happens that after installing Elive Gem, and rebooting, the script starts and hangs, or just closes the window. Everything working but suspend and hibernate. battery lasts pretty little but after using ondemand governor is was a bit better, but still little compared to ubuntu. i would suggest qsynaptics since it helps alot who uses synaptic touchpad. beside that, give me .desktop support and i trash ubuntuby assasukasse - Laptops testers

well i agree about having a stable version of e17 than something unusable.. but i also see that the e17 in eliveis becaming too much old really, i like elive, is fast and stable, but w/o freedesktop compliance is rather unusable... the problem of the menues is really a big problem..especially for novice users.by assasukasse - Enlightenment
