Seems the problem is a bug related to app. I have this problem on one of my machines as well...it just bothers me but everything functions as it should. It is here and other places on the netby bryanstein - [OLD] - Installed Mode
I am pretty sure this problem can be easily fixed. First...copy your /etc/X11/xorg.conf over to your harddrive while booted in live mode...email it to yourself if need be. If the video works on Live mode then there is no reason it shouldn't work installed. cp your current xorg.conf and name it xorg.conf.orig and cp the one that works from the live mode to the /etc/X11/ directory. I didn't say anything about the .exlstart because that is only the startup sound in there and I really didn't want to go into editing this and that and the other. Jumping all over the place to just kill 3 sounds.by bryanstein - Hacks
What kind of laptop do you have ? If you press the left and right button down at the same time then that is the equivalent of a middle click. Maybe your laptop has 2 sets of buttons...one above and below the trackpad. Press either set at the same time and you'll have a middle click. Test it out with text...highlight text from the browser and then try the middle click to paste in the shell orby bryanstein - [OLD] - Installed Mode

Boo2themoon, You should actually find the icon in Thunar BEFORE you create the .eap or choose create icon. Where is the icon located? Some progs put them in /usr/share/icons as well. The thing about the eap editor is that it doesn't highlight the file that you select once you click on it. Just click and then choose ok to select the icon and it will appear under the icon field. Well I happen to like the sounds BUT if you wish to stop the effects you can just rename the files. sudo mv /usr/share/elpanel/sounds/launch.ogg /usr/share/elpanel/sounds/launch.ogg.old Elpanel: /usr/share/elpanel/sounds/launch.ogg /usr/share/elpanel/sounds/cubeout.ogg to maybe /usr/share/elpanel/sounds/launch.ogg.old /usr/share/elpanel/sounds/cubeout.ogg.old Login & Logby bryanstein - Hacks

I suggest you redownload the iso and the md5sum and check that the md5sum is correct. Burn the iso at 8x and verify it...when you install...make sure you use th check Disc feature before proceeding futher.by bryanstein - [OLD] - Installed Mode

There are several ways to launch the program now that you have it installed. You can hit Alt+Esc and it will open up a run dialogue box. Next type first few letters of the applications name and it will appear there. >Once you have the program up and running you can easily add an icon by right clicking on the top window border and choose create icon. >Next click in the blank area under tby bryanstein - [OLD] - Installed Mode
