Hmm. E17 works well, so it seems to be an only-E16 thing.by Bertram - [OLD] - Installed Mode
Oh, I should add that even startx doesn't do what it should: It just tells me something about "waiting for x server to shut down freefont path "fpe" /usr/share/fonts/misc refcount is 2, should be 1, fixing" I would really prefer changing a line in a broken file over reinstalling the system.by Bertram - [OLD] - Installed Mode
Hello, I did an update/upgrade, and after that the sasme thing started happening. When I write the corect username and password, I get kicked back to entrance. Deleting .Xauthority doesn't help; Something always makes a new one. Could anyone help me with with this?by Bertram - [OLD] - Installed Mode
I'm looking for some kind of file close to .xinit or .elxstrt, that starts programs like the iBar or the pager after logging in. I want to add a clock to e16. It's needed _direly_ TIAby Bertram - [OLD] - Installed Mode

I can think of some things i saw that should be added. For instance an easy way to make screenshots, and to change the language. I personally don't mind opening up a new console to write "setxkbmap sk" bt still. Also i think that the useradd/del text commands should be repaired. Oh and sudo. If thath's at all possible.by Bertram - Other Suggestions
Yeah i understand that. Keeping it simple. That solves the problem though. Every user can set his/her own login sound now.by Bertram - Hacks
I tried. ./configure gave me a few dependencies, some of them wanted me to reomve mentioned important stuff. Isn't there any way to force the install of something without giving it the possibility to delete?by Bertram - [OLD] - Installed Mode
I'd have a slightly related question: Where exactly is the line mpg321 -q /usr/share/eliva-sounds/eliva-wm-login.mp3 located? That might help. (At least me.)by Bertram - Hacks
I guess it's mandatory to start with praise for the new release, so "Good work" to y'all! But to get straight to the point: I'm trying to get Pidgin into my system. But apt-get is telling me that in order to do so, i'm supposed to delete things like entrance. How come? Is there a way to overcome this? Thanks in forward.by Bertram - [OLD] - Installed Mode
