what a big mess. U can always backup ur things and make a clean install of elive. Amarok needs KDE libraries but there's a player named exaile (exaile.org). I quote: "It's a player aiming to be similar to KDE's Amarok, but for GTK+ and written in Python"by babel - [OLD] - Installed Mode
May be is the screen configuration... i don't know. But u can use the shortcuts of enlightenment (ctrl+alt+x to close orctrl+alt+f to maximize) THe buttons work fine for me. im using 1200x800 wide screenby babel - Enlightenment
Wireless not detected by default but it works when u install the driver with ndiswrapper. The screen seems ok, the nvidia drivers work. The only problem i found was the sound. I have to reconfigure the ALSA every time i start elive. I have buttons to control the alsa mixer (turn it up or down, and mute) and these buttons just don't work. If i connect headphones or mics they don't workby babel - Laptops testers
In fact i'd like more a konqueror type file browser. That's what i miss the most from KDE. U can do literally anything with itby babel - Other Suggestions
Tottaly agree. Broadcom is not a very friendly ally with the Open community but i found a .deb in ubuntu forums to work this out. The packages works but this is not ubuntu so i used ndiswrapper to install the windows drivers but what about having it default?by babel - Hardware, Wifi's and Drivers
