Try to execute the command from a command shell ( from your user, not root ) and just after the login. So you should see if any error occour. Just a question. The only thing I can't reach is gkrellm transparent I installed ecomorph and I run enlightenment-ecomorph; consolles are transparent but gkrellm still not trasparent ( tried many gkrellm themes which claims to be transparent but none still is on my desktop ) here my desktop (great theme verdegal ! )by klamath - Users corner

What about upgrade from a development version to another ? I tried but every program I have has been deleted. I read previous posts and it seems it does recognize, in installing/upgrading mode, just the ~ partition. But I spent hours, days to install and configure programs to react as I want, and I don't want everything is vanished.
