OK, I'm now in the live CD and am having the same issue as when it was installed: window resizing grinds everything to a halt. Agust, I did not see any "emerald" manager as found in Gnome/KDE, think you meant Ecomorph. After messing around with various settings, I totally disabled Ecomorph, logged back in without it, and STILL have this problem. So I was wrong to assume itby down8ve - [OLD] - Installed Mode
Finally found it in the Enlightenment Settings. Disabling the dimension pop-up does not help. I also tried some changes in the Ecomorph settings to no avail. Should I send this in as a bug? Is anyone else having this issue, or is this a hardware issue? Maybe I need to dig into my xorg.conf.by down8ve - [OLD] - Installed Mode
If I drag the edge of a window to resize, the window will freeze for about 5-10 seconds. I did not notice this on the live CD. Seems to happen as the window dimension pop-up comes up. Three different installs give the same result. I have a Pentium D with Nvidia 9500gt and a gig of RAM.by down8ve - [OLD] - Installed Mode
I've played around with Kdenlive, that new video editor for KDE, on openSuse. Boy, that's the way video editing should be, at least for those of us who are not into Cinerella. My only issue is with openSuse. For some reason, using Dolphin to select a large H256 file I've completed brings the system to its knees. There's some sort of system overhead that does not play welby down8ve - Other Suggestions
Answered my own question. The debian-multimedia repos, which contain apps like kdenlive, do not appear to tie the right dependencies together with Elive, so I'm avoiding them at present.by down8ve - [OLD] - Installed Mode
I ditto jellmoo's question. Since the latest development build is synced with Debian Lenny, are those repos available to us?by down8ve - [OLD] - Installed Mode
