You should see how's acting E17 in Ubuntu 10.4 Lucid Lynx Alpha 3.by stanca - [OLD] - Installed Mode
Because Elive is still based on Debian Lenny Stable repos and not on Testing/Squeeze or Sid as Ubuntu does,I think.by stanca - Other Suggestions
That's why there are 2 stable versions, one with the newer kernel 2.6.30.9 with support for ext4 and reiser4 filesystems and the other one with the older kernel 2.6.26.8 with support for older ATI graphical cards and hardware. If you have problems with one try the other one too. For example on my old system from my sig it works better the older kernel, the newer one was giving me total desktopby stanca - [OLD] - Installed Mode
I think it is the most suitable color to a real "lady".One of your themes and wallpapers I like the most even now after so many months. Thanks again verdegal37! Update:by stanca - Users corner
I tried too E17-Ecomorph in Ubuntu for many months but it doesn't compare to Elive in the end,and for many other reasons. If you want the perfect E17-Ecomorph desktop shell and the most beatifull ,best Linux distro, you end up with Elive.by stanca - [OLD] - Installed Mode
Hardly waiting for the 2.0 final release! You really did a good job Thana, the old bugs just disappeared.by stanca - [OLD] - Live mode
There was a night look theme in previous older Elives' E16 version and wich one?Where can I still find it? Is it DarkOne,I guess?by stanca - Users corner
Download it from the original site: . Uncompress the package and you can run it from the folder as a portable app.by stanca - Applications
Exactly verdegal37!It's E17-Ecomorph in Ubuntu Karmic x64 version but in the Elive-Night style,my favorite.by stanca - Users corner
Have you tried the command alsaconf in the terminal?by stanca - [OLD] - Installed Mode
I think I found how:add an app with an icon you like to the bar(iTask-NG module in fact) and then right-click on the icon>edit icon,in the command line field just edit your needed app's command and voila',when you click on that icon it will start your favorite application. It worked for me.by stanca - [OLD] - Installed Mode

To the beginning of the debian-multimedia page you have the debian-multimedia-keyring package to download and install. That will add the public key and signature to your apt-sources.Just read carefully the whole page/link.by stanca - [OLD] - Installed Mode
I managed to make an Ubuntu Karmic Amd64 version to look like an original Elive 1.9.56 Unstable:Lucax night theme,Enight gtk theme,Elive icons,Itask-ng,ecomorph,modules,gadgets,etc.by stanca - Users corner
From where can I get a deb package or edje file with original elive's lucax night theme? Edit:Never mind,I found it.by stanca - Users corner

I know there's a second option to install the grub in the installation's partition(Elive's partition) useful in the multiboot systems when you want to keep the main Grub from another Linux OS.I have 4 OS's on my system and my main Grub is Elive's(1.9.51 too). When I installed Debian Lenny 5.03 too 3 weeks ago I chose this option and then after I just added the new entry byby stanca - Other Suggestions
In debian based off distros when an installation needs extra dependencies it gives you errors usually. After each error you have to do an apt-get install -f ,and this command might install the needed dependencies for you and continue the lyx's installation successfully. It's not like in Ubuntu,I know.by stanca - [OLD] - Installed Mode
Of course I have Esetroot on the system but it might be a bug. I tried your line too(with my wall name.jpg) and this was the answer. Update:by stanca - Users corner
I tried already all the solutions,I think it's a bug,at least on my system. Thanks anyway,I'll try the command line as the last hope also.by stanca - Users corner

Mine gives me a bug in .elxstrt:".elxstrt stopped running unexpectedly",without a log message.by stanca - Users corner
