I'm waiting for over 8 months some news from great Thana,maybe an up-to-date Elive OS based on the newest Debian Testing/Squeeze release in the end,at least??? I see that OpenGEU project is dormant already,no more any news since last passed year.

All the available apps for Debian Lenny(Stable/Main) in i386.deb package. Other working deb packages in Elive are those for/from Ubuntu 8.04 version.

E17 and ecomorph are in the Karmic repos,the new Lucid has only E17 in the repos,no ecomorph yet. Or you can install even OpenGEU in Ubuntu:

I always use the command line to configure my pppoe internet connection: pppoeconf in the terminal as root and answer "yes" to all the questions till final using Tab and Enter keyboard buttons.

I do and I have to use Elive's legacy grub to boot both of them,of course by editing the menu.lst file,with Ubuntu's Grub2 I can't boot Elive no matter what I try to do.But with Elive's grub I can't boot my Hackintosh either.

In Linux you need always to be root in the most important things. You could open the terminal and: su password scite /boot/grub/menu.lst or open Thunar,the file manager,right-click into it and choose "Admin Mode" and then you can go to the menu.lst file from filesystem>boot>grub directory and edit it,save and close.

I multiboot very well Elive+Ubuntu 10.4+Windows XP using now Elive's Grub(0.97 version) but I had to add manually the Ubuntu's entry in the menu.lst file in my case. I guess once you have your installer-module you can use it wherever you want for installation and keep it on for later reinstalls,but only on the same machine/computer.

I use Esetroot to have transparency in gkrellm monitor even with the invisible theme.I added this line in the hidden .elxstrt file from ~/home: /usr/bin/Esetroot -s /home/laur/Images/Wallpapers/A-Red-E12-Elive.png &
