Hi I have the beta installed everything works except audio. I have a realtek ALC887 audio / snd_hda_intel I have downloaded the latest driver from realtek and installed it, tried various answers from this forum and also from googling, all to no avail. booting up, red failure error line states `no kernel audio modules loaded` aplay -l states no sound card lspci -nn | grep -i audio showby oldwrinkly - Hardware, Wifi's and Drivers
how to install econnman to be able to configure internet...SOLVED - 8 years ago
hi I have a new motherboard in my desktop with realtek installed. i have the elive beta on a usb flashdrive, which boots up and opens just fine, but no internet, adsl/ppoa will not see realtek and eth0. downloaded the latest linux drivers from realtek, also econnman as the internet configuration module will not open, just asks for econnman to be installed. On the elive desktop I copied botby oldwrinkly - [OLD] - Live mode

Installed E17 on root...sdb5 home...sdb6 swap...sdb7 installed grub on...sda5 which includes the vista mbr vista boots up ok but grub says error 17 cannot mount selected partition Is grub pointing to the wrong partition? if so how do I boot into E17 and put it right Regards Mikeby oldwrinkly - [OLD] - Installed Mode
