Hi. These modules reside in shelfs. You can place the shelf at another place. Rightclick on the clock ( maybe just a littlebit beside it, just try out ) and select 'shelf...' --> configure then you will see a dialog showing you several posibilities to place it and change the look of the shelf. Hi. I wanted to try out E17 in the newest version and added the 'tests' repository to synaptic. I have tried to update all packages to the newest version and it seemed to work. But then after reboot no loginscreen appeared. I was thrown back to the commandline ( yes, with a very nice background ). I have installed GEM ( really wonderful with some little probs ) on a disk with the following structure. sda1: /boot ext2 sda2: / xfs sda3: /home xfs sda4: swap I instructed the installer to install the bootsector to mbr of sda. As I can see now, partition 2 ( root-partition ) is activated. I haven't seen this before. all other distris seem to activate the boot-partitioby mannih - [OLD] - Installed Mode
Hi. I would like to know this too. I don't want my computer to make any sounds except when playing or videos etc. I find the sounds boaring even when elpanel starts and the only chance to prevent from playing these sounds is muting the speakers. Best regards Manfredby mannih - Hacks
