Merci pour le feedback, c'est toujours difficile de donner un tel feedback aussi critique, mais je suis certain qu'il l'a apprécié. Il ne faut pas avoir peur d'offusquer... Vos critique sont constructives et je ferai la même chose. Je viens du monde Mac (quelques années dans les premier 10 ans d Apple) et windows (20 ans) et fais parti du monde linux depuis moins de 10 aby jfb - Français - French

Sorry if english : Thanatermesis we need to bring Elive higher on that Ranking list :-) I do agree that making Elive easier to download will help and as for the forum tool, I'll make research ( as I am not sure it will make a difference as the way I see it coming from the Ubuntu world, nerds / more advanced & skilled linux people, for now I think, are the kind of people that wilby jfb - Français - French

Am I wrong saying the forum time zone is not setup properly ? when I post something, the time of my post is not correct. And I have setup my own time zone properly in the Control Center JFby jfb - Off topic

JF TO make my life easier, I created a WINDOWS WM for my wife, using the last version of ORacle VirtualBox (went back to ubuntu temporarily but will come back to Elive on my desktop as soon as I tested my 64bits apps and that I can install last version of vmware).by jfb - Installed Mode

Screen configuration work better for me now , although it is not clear for me how to choose which screen is the default one... Some box popup window asked me once which one I wanted, by mistake i did something and it disappeared and I didn't know how to get back that windows to choose the default monitor. For me the new screen configuration worked well in a VM and on a HP Desktop. Did you try a reboot after running apug ? JF I was able to change resolution too.by jfb - Installed Mode

From Elive 2.9.97 I tried the following sudo apt-get install libc6-amd64 multiarch-support linux-image-3.16.0-0.bpo.4-amd64 sudo dpkg --add-architecture amd64 Rebooted ans uname report my system is i686 What else I could try to go 64 bits as some of the software I use are only 64bits JFby jfb - Installed Mode

I need to install signal. I want to keep my system as stable as possible... From the few I know about linux, new kernel "should" fix more problems that they create. I heard Debian play it safer than Ubuntu. Wish spectre and new threat, do you recommend us to install newer Kernels ? If yes how and will Elive stay as stable ? Or we should always wait that kernel updates comes from you ? What do you recommend us to do, or not do as for , installing software not already included in Elive. The good way to do it to keep Elive Stable. Ok to use Snap ? Flathub ? any recommendations ?
