Sería bueno que en la pagina de descargas de elivecd junto a cada versión del elive tanto del archivo .iso como del archivo .img se encuentre el fichero MD5 para posteriormente revisar si los archivos descargados están correctos.

If, I will probably set the server with "elive superpowers" (instead of a plain useless and bloated blubluntu container), but in any of the cases, I'm worried about the email thing, so emails should be sent from the own server (it can work as the previous tests, but all of the emails from elivelinux.org domain goes to spam, in gmail/hotmail/everywhere) by default, so this can be a problem...

So the question is, what about using external services? I have found in one of these howto's a service that looks very good, too good to be true? 150k emails per month (5k per day)? for free? really??? Rebooted ans uname report my system is i686

What else I could try to go 64 bits as some of the software I use are only 64bits

I heard Debian play it safer than Ubuntu.

Wish spectre and new threat, do you recommend us to install newer Kernels ? If yes how and will Elive stay as stable ? Or we should always wait that kernel updates comes from you ?

1) Trial : I know you want to live from Elive, but making it difficult to try it, with so many distros on the market, does it help you ? Just brainstorming, I am not sure neither. Exemple I signed as a patreon to give Elive " little amount" of money monthly, but I still have to wait 24 hours to try the last version ( as a patreon).

I asked to try the last version and the link I received is is not that simple, I clicked it and click USB and still endup on the page where I need to enter my email to get the trial in 24 hours... I am sure may have missed something but other will to... Wouldn't be better to make it simple to try and cross your finger people will pay ( Patreon ) to support your "amazing" product ?

2) Everything is about perception : may be I would use more modern / good looking forum &tools for support (I know, money is needed to use tools as discourse [www.discourse.org] ) ? real techies won't care about the support tools you use but may be other yes...

I have a problem with booting elive.
Using the live-stick I can boot only using the option "graphical problems"... then it boots and installs and everything.
But back in my main grub (which already boots my windows and other linux partitions)
I only have the default elive boot options...these all boot with a blank screen (or blinking cursor).
Same as the other boot options from the live-stick.
It lets me use all the ttys, but none with a real gui.
Just the terminals.

So my question is, can I edit the boot entry in my main-grub to have the same boot parameters used on the live-stick to boot the graphical problems entry?
Seems like it could work.
Or if you have any other ideas on how I could boot and fully load elive.
Please let me know.

I've got the virt-manager bit working via GTK broadway, I'm failing to get a DT environment that I can run the java/webstart apps on top of, to present via broadway.

I've put in 100+ hours into this test environment so far, including all the targetcli stuff, if everyone was happy using the cli, I'd be finished...

Wish this stuff was what I was being taught in uni, but all I got was IBM Smalltalk and Turbo Pascal.
